Preparation tip

Sift matcha – 1–2 g (approx. 1 tsp) into a cup or glass.

Mix with a little hot water – 20–30 ml at approx. 70–80 °C, until a smooth paste is formed.

Froth milk or plant-based milk – approx. 150 ml: cow's milk, soy milk, oat milk or almond milk.

Combine – pour milk into the matcha and stir gently.

Optionally sweeten – e.g. honey or sugar to taste.

How long does matcha keep?

Every matcha you receive from us will keep for at least another year.

So there's nothing stopping you from placing stock orders.

Provided the can is kept closed and stored in a reasonably cool place (not necessarily in the refrigerator, a sun-protected spot in your kitchen is sufficient), you should not experience any loss of taste even after a year.

You should use up opened matcha within 90 days to enjoy the best aroma.

Will metal harm my matcha tea?

No, metal does not affect the taste or quality of your matcha. Light, oxygen, and humidity are more important for freshness.

Can you enjoy matcha during pregnancy?

Generally yes – but in moderation. Matcha contains caffeine, so we recommend reducing consumption during pregnancy and breastfeeding. One to two cups daily are generally safe, unless medically restricted. If in doubt, please consult your doctor.

Is there a limit to how much matcha I can drink per day?

Because matcha contains caffeine, we recommend 1–2 teaspoons (approx. 2–4 g) per day . This is equivalent to about 1–2 cups. This allows you to optimally enjoy its positive effects—energy, focus, and antioxidants—without overloading your body.
